About this service
National Indigenous Peoples Day (NIPD) takes place annually on June 21. Every year, FRAFCA co-hosts a celebration in Surrey alongside Semiahmoo, Katzie, and Kwantlen First Nations, Métis Nation BC and the City of Surrey. The event bring local First Nations as well as First Nations, Métis and Inuit families from around the Lower Mainland together with Surreys urban Indigenous population, to provide an opportunity to share cultural history, celebrations, and build inter-generational connections.
