About this service
Are you a newcomer Canadian who wants to improve their spoken English? Join us for English Corner, a conversational group for newcomer Canadians. There is no cost, and no registration is necessary, just drop in and check it out! English Corner happens at our Crescent Beach location, 2916 McBride Ave, which is accessible by transit (#351) and has plenty of free, street-level parking. Our English Corner group meets Wednesday afternoons 1 to 2:30pm in the Media Room. Everyone is welcome to listen, learn and participate in conversational English. A book club component, organized by Lynn, is optional and is proving to be very popular. We welcome all who would like to build their English proficiency in a pleasant and supportive environment.If you or someone you know is looking to improve English language skills, this is an invitation to check it out!
