About this organization
Prostate Cancer Foundation BC was formed in 1997 to improve knowledge, prevention and treatment of Prostate Cancer.
PCFBC started in the Lower Mainland by Prostate Cancer support group members wanting to formalize and expand. The groups have grown over the years, some new ones starting and others folding, but the core of approximately 25 remains today.
Five years ago the BC Support Group Council was formed with the primary purpose of mentoring and guiding other groups. The council puts on a Provincial conference every 3 years bringing in leaders and members for a 3 day weekend of learning and sharing knowledge.
This website is maintained and supported by Prostate Cancer Foundation BC and is a tool for support groups and others looking for more information.
