About this service
This program is for youth ages 16 19 who are living independently. The youth outreach counsellor helps young people live a healthy lifestyle and offers:
- Support with life skills, self-care and general adulting
- Support securing stable housing and income
- Provide information and referrals
- Support and advocacy around accessing appropriate social services and mental and physical health care
Both Squamish and Pemberton Youth Groups are registered with the Local Youth in Care Network of the Federation of BC Youth in Care Networks (FBCYICN). Each Local provides programming that is designed by youth, for youth. Our main goal is to increase access to support services, resources, and outdoor recreation for youth in care throughout the Sea to Sky Corridor.
Squamish Youth Group meets on Tuesdays from 3:30 5:30 pm, snacks and transportation included.
