About this service
Being able to live in your home, as a senior, is high on most of our wish lists. But just because it is your home, and possibly even a place where youve lived for years, doesnt mean you are safe from injury. Sometimes you can become complacent where youre most comfortable. And then there are the vulnerabilities that come with age that make us more prone to having an injury occur.
The fall prevention audit includes:
- Observational visit in the home to ensure any hazards are identified
- Development of a plan for removing identified hazards
- Medication review to ensure side-effects that can lead to dizziness, weakness or falls are managed accordingly
- Activation program, focusing on strength training and balance enhancement
