SCHS - Compassionate Friends

The death of a child can be the loss of hope, of your dreams and of your expectations. This loss cannot be likened to any other. Because of the nature and intensity of this grief, many parents and siblings have a need for more support than what family and friends can provide. At Compassionate Friends meetings, bereaved parents can share their feelings in a safe, understanding place. Or, if they prefer, they can just listen.

We know it takes courage to attend your first gathering of Compassionate Friends, but those who do come find an atmosphere of understanding from others who have experienced the grief that you feel now. Time has proven that in caring and sharing comes healing.

The Compassionate Friends is an international, non-profit, non-denominational, self-help organization offering support for the grief and trauma that follows the death of a child, no matter the age or cause.
