About this service
Home Share is a residential option in which an adult with a developmental disability shares a home with someone who is contracted to provide ongoing support.
SCCSS began the Home Share program in 2012. SCCSS contracts with three providers and supports four adults with developmental disabilities. This program offers individuals and families additional consumer choices and living options in service providers. It also provides individuals and families who already have an existing relationship with SCCSS the option of receiving Home Share through a familiar organization. Individualized planning and monitoring is provided by the Home Share Coordinator.
Individuals are referred by Community Living BC and funding for the service is provided by Community Living BC. If you are interested in Home Share or becoming a Home Share provider please contact Sunshine Coast Community Services Society.
