About this service
Services are provided to families with children and youth (ages 0-19) experiencing crises or challenges that threaten family stability, child safety and wellbeing.
The aim is to strengthen and preserve families, utilizing the familys strengths and needs to prevent child out of home placement and reduce risk for child maltreatment.
Each family works with one primary counsellor developing a brief, home based, multiple component intervention plan in direct collaboration with the family and MCFD Social workers, including other community services when indicated. Client families are non-voluntary and often face complex challenges.
