About this service
The population of people who have become homeless is aging and Cool Aid is a leader in supportive, seniors housing with several apartment buildings for 55+. Our quiet tenants enjoy healthy meals, activities and opportunities for health care. FairWay Woods in Langford was highlighted by the Federal Government as an example of best practice for housing seniors who have been marginalized.
This property demonstrates a new housing model which provides a lower level of support for tenants who have been doing well elsewhere and are ready to move on. System-wide, this allows Cool Aid to ensure apartments with high levels of support are available for those who are homeless and need it most, while encouraging tenants doing better to continue to move forward in their lives.
