About this service
Drop off times for surgery are between 7:30am and 8:30am. Please ensure that you cat has been fasted overnight, with dinner removed at 10:00 the night previous, though they are allowed to have water overnight. We will require you to sign a consent form when dropping off your cat that allows us to contact you and update your cat's file, as well as plan for any emergent or urgent care.
If your cat requires a general anesthetic, they are monitored pre-, peri-, and post- surgery for their body temperature, blood pressure, heart rate, and oxygen level within their blood. They are given an IV catheterization to assist with proper hydration during the surgery, so you may see several shaved spots on your kitty which will grow back in a few weeks.
