About this organization
Once a week, on Sunday afternoon, CARTS Outreach provides sandwiches, fruit,hot chocolate in winter, lemonade in summer, snacks, cookies, fudge, socks, clothing to all who come in need, Those who come are homeless, the marginally housed and those whose resources do not have enough for daily food. We also provide food for their pets. As our resources allow, we also give out personal hygiene items, occasionally tarps, blankets, sleeping bags and shoes. Best of all, we are allowed personal contact to offer support, encouragement, friendship, prayer and put folks in contact with helping agencies. Typically, we have 12 to 15 volunteers, plus more volunteers working in the background preparing foods.
