About this service
S.U.C.C.E.S.S. hosts a volunteer-based income tax clinic for its members annually from February to April. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, S.U.C.C.E.S.S. has implemented specific measures to ensure the health and safety of its clients and volunteers.
In order to be eligible for this service, you must meet the following criteria:
- Income only includes: employment income, bank interest, EI, OAS, CPP, and RRSP/RRIF
- Income does not include: rental income, business income, stocks, bonds, mutual funds, dividends, and capital gains
- Must not be self-employed or commissioned
- No overseas properties
- Have not declared or not in the process of declaring bankruptcy
- Not for the deceased
- Annual income of a single adult must be less than $35,000 and bank interest less than $1,000
- Annual income of a two-person family (e.g. couple) must be less than $45,000 and bank interest less than $1,000
