About this service
Little Sprouts Preschool Program teaches children aged 3-4 about where their food comes from and gives them a chance to get their hands dirty in their plot at the Downtown Community Garden. Garden parties throughout the summer build on their school visit by discovering a variety of garden topics such as pollination, herbs, compost and harvesting. The program culminates with the sale of their produce on a farmers market day. The program is free to participants and any funds raised are used to cover expenses of the program.
