All animals entering the RDHS adoption program are vet checked, spayed/neutered, dewormed, defleaed, vaccinated, and microchipped where necessary.
For the best possible outcome, RDHS prioritizes matching the personality of the animal to each living situation. While many animals in need of new homes are well-adjusted, others are in need of more tender loving and special care. While the majority of applications succeed, in no way does a rejection imply you an unsuitable pet owner.
As some animals and/or people adopting may require additional support, any requests or suggestions for special accommodation that promote success are always considered. Youre not buying a pet, youre making a long-term investment in a friend, so our mutual goal is to create the best situation for the animal's welfare.
