About this service
Seniors are an important and integral part of the Oceanside community. To ensure you continue to play an active role in the community, you may require support to live independently in your own home.
Oceanside Better at Home provides a range of non-medical support services to local residents, aged 65+. The program is administered by SOS in partnership with the United Way of the Lower Mainland and funded by the Government of British Columbia. SOS Volunteers assist with:
Friendly visiting
Transportation to non-medical appointments
Grocery shopping
In addition, Oceanside Better at Home provides services on a sliding fee schedule such as:
Light housekeeping
Yard work
Oceanside Better at Home helps seniors age with dignity, and prevents social isolation.
