About this service
The Foster Parent Support and Training Program (FPSP) provides support and education to foster parents in the northern region of British Columbia for the Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD). The area extends north from Quesnel and in and around the Prince George region.
Axis Family Resources Ltd. has community facilitators in Quesnel, Prince George, Fort St. James, Wells, Valemont, Burns Lake, and McKenzie. These Facilitators work closely with MCFD social workers and other community partners to provide a variety of support services to Foster Parents.
The program consists of two parts; firstly, to provide a direct support network to Foster Parents, and secondly, to offer the education they require to find success in the role.
