Tobacco Reduction Program

Coordinates tobacco initiatives in the northwest region of BC. Focus is on tobacco cessation, smoking prevention, and protection from exposure to second-hand smoke. Prevention services include resources available for use by schools and community organizations, a tobacco prevention grants program that provides funding for school and community projects, and assistance with anti-smoking public events. Protection activities include educational and support for implementation of smoke-free policies and regulations. Also provides information and referral to provincial resources for tobacco users who want to quit.
