AXIS Family Resources - STRIDE

STRIDE is a full time attendance program for male high risk youth who are required, as a term of their probation order, to complete treatment at Prince George Youth Forensic Services. STRIDE provides service for up to six youth at any one time in a network of family care therapeutic beds in the community of Prince George. The length of stay is usually ten months, but may be longer depending upon progress in treatment.

The program is designed to provide a structured, intensively supervised environment, which complements the treatment the young person is receiving from Youth Forensic Services. For a youth to be considered for the program, they must be able to complete treatment from Youth Forensic Services prior to their nineteenth birthday. Youth will usually be from the North Region, however referrals from other Regions will be considered.
