COUNSELLOR IN THE CLASSROOM

Kids Help Phone's Counsellor in the Classroom Program is an initiative that aims to promote discussions about mental health and well-being among young people in Grades 6 through 12 across Canada. The program consists of two parts: classroom activities led by the educator and a 45-minute phone or video call conversation with a professional counsellor from Kids Help Phone. Through these activities, students will gain a better understanding of mental health, learn how and where to seek support, create a plan for reaching out for help if needed, and feel more confident in seeking support. Educators who register for the program will receive a digital program package that includes educational resources, lesson plans, worksheets, and information about Kids Help Phone's services. However, it's important to note that registration does not guarantee a session, as the program depends on funding and availability.
