About this organization

Single Parent Food Bank Society has been providing essential food bank services in the lower mainland for over 25 years to low-income single parent families.

However, this service of providing single parent families with food hampers changed to a home delivery model in 2014 under the name SPFoodBank.

We are a small, self-supporting, independent organization with a primary mission is to aid Single Parent Families to get, what are classified as hard-to-stock items at many food banks - quality, nutritional perishable foods.

Our service is managed from the home offices of the Board Off Directors, part-time staff and key volunteers. Streamlined overhead costs allow for more fundraising dollars to go directly to the charitable activities we support such as fresh perishable foods, non-perishable foods that are essential & healthy.
