About this service

Treasure Our Young Ones Childcare Centre (iihmisuk taatnais ) opened on January 23, 2017. We are an extremely busy child care center and also have a very active Out Of School Care Program, both of which run five days a week year-round. Also on staff are our two Elders who share their extensive knowledge and fluency of the Nuu Chah Nulth language. The Language Nest (iihmisuk taatnais) is hosted within the Port Alberni Friendship Centers Childcare Centre and immerses children aged 3 to 5 within nuucaanu culture and language.
