About this service
Since 1993 Holy Cross School has had a rich and diverse music program offered to the students in kindergarten through to grade five. Students learn the universally accepted symbols necessary for reading and composing music. A variety of rhythm instruments including hand drums, tambourines, castanets, maracas, bells, triangles, sand blocks, finger cymbals, boom whackers, xylophones, metallophones, and glockenspiels are used to instill beat as well as reading rhythms. Students in grade four and five transfer their knowledge to the soprano recorder, making the transition to a band instrument easy.
