About this service
Our family law program provides our clients with legal information on a variety of legal issues, free of charge. You can call to make an appointment with our family law advocate. This program is funded by the law foundation of BC. The family law advocate provides a variety of services including giving information and advice, as well as some representation in court. Areas of family law include matters relating to children, spousal support, divorce, protection orders, fmep, mobility/relocation and child protection. Be advised, there are some restrictions in assistance when dealing with property, debts, and emergency asset restraints. If the issue is a criminal or immigration matter, the legal advocate will refer the client to legal aid or other resources.
