About this service
Onesky community resources provides specialized residential resources for children and youth with special needs (CYSN) who require a high level of care, support and supervision. Special needs refers to children and youth up to 19 years of age who require significant additional educational, medical/health and social/ environmental support beyond that required by children in general to enhance or improve health, development, learning, quality of life, participation and community inclusion. The intent of these services is to ensure that children and youth with special needs are provided with a safe stable home and an opportunity to live, develop and learn in a community setting. The service may be short term or long term, with the goal that children/youth will stabilize and be transitioned home, to a long term placement or transition to adult community living BC services.
