About this service
The Infant Development Program (IDP) is meeting in Squamish at Brackendale Elementary School on Fridays from 10 to 11:30am. Registration is required.
Sometimes children are slow to reach development milestone, such as sitting unsupported, playing with toys, walking and talking. During the first three years of a childs life, important learning takes place during play and everyday experiences. The role of parents/caregivers is that of the childs first teacher. Our infant development consultant works with parents to develop a program of activities to encourage the development of physical, social, emotional, language and cognitive skills.
In addition to assessments, home visits and referrals, we run drop-ins where children can learn and socialize in an informal, fun group setting and parents can speak with our consultant. Come and play with us and learn about child development.
Who can use it?
Families with a child up to three years of age.
