Giving seniors a hand.
Better at Home is program designed to help seniors remain independent at home, and funding for this program is provided by United Way.
Through professional and volunteer support, Better at Home helps seniors with simple-day-to-day tasks, thereby helping seniors maintain their independence and stay connected with their community.
Better at Home provides a range of non-medical home support services.
Fees for Better at Home are determined on a sliding scale based on an ability to pay, and are subject to some local variables. Services offered reflect the different needs of each community. Examples include:
- Yard Work
- Home repair
- Snow Shovelling
- Housekeeping
- Grocery Shopping
- Transportation to appointments
