About this service
The North Shore Salvation Army collected 150 metric tons of food from our sponsors. This interconnected, interdependent system keeps this food resource in our community feeding those in need and greatly diminishing the quantity of landfill. Thanks to our Volunteers and Sponsors, we were able to keep over 150 metric tons of food out of our landfills and redistribute 75 metric tons of food to those in need.
Five days a week a fresh food box is available for individuals and families in need, at the North Shore Salvation Army. Food boxes are distributed Monday to Thursday from 9:00am-4:30pm at 105 West 12th (& Lonsdale).
