About this service
The Red Cross Health Equipment Loan Program (HELP) offers the North Shore community a short-term loan of mobility and personal care aids to people of all ages who are recovering from surgery, illness or injury.
The Canadian Red Cross provides three-month loans of medical equipment such as wheelchairs, walkers, bath seats and benches, commodes and toilet seats, crutches and canes, bed handles and other durable medical equipment. The program alleviates the pressures that come along with injury or illness, assists seniors with mobility issues, allows people to return home from hospital earlier and supports those in palliative care to spend their final days at home.
