About this service
The Cowichan Neighbourhood House is a designated ESS (Emergency Social Services) warming centre. Neighbours who have experienced house fires or homelessness have found emergency help at the Old Fire Hall. We have a wheelchair accessible washroom with a shower and we provide warm soup, phone & computer access, and, on a case by case basis, an emergency place to sleep. We also assist people with disaster relief and assistance by providing free clothing, emergency food hampers, and help finding placement in crisis shelters.
