About this service

Delta House accommodates four young adults with serious and persistent mental illness. We provide residents the opportunity to live in a stabilized home with support so they can successfully live independently.

We help residents build on their strengths and skills to encourage self-sufficiency. We support residents to maintain and develop family and community supports. Two years is the maximum stay at Delta House.

Admission Criteria All residents will:

  • Be between the ages of 19 and 30 years of age
  • Have a diagnosis of severe and persistent mental illness with or without a co-occurring disorder
  • Have an open file at Delta Mental Health Services and Addictions
  • Have a source of income to meet rental requirements (e.g., Private or MEIA)
  • Be stabilized on medication and able to self administer medications
  • Be able to function without continuous 24 hour supervision
  • Have or agree to obtain a yearly bus pass if eligible
  • Agree to enter into a tenancy agreement with Fraserside Community Services
