About this service
Welcome to the ESL-English Conversation Group page.
What We Do: We are a drop-in programme offering new arrivals to BC an opportunity to improve their English fluency in small groups facilitated by volunteers. As of February 2020, we have 13 volunteers and 96 members, with 18 new member applications in process.
Important to Know:
This programme is open to adults only, Century House members and non-members.
Our facilitators are volunteers from CH who may or may not have a teaching background.
Application forms for students and facilitators are available from the front desk at Century House.
When Do We Meet?: Usually conversation groups meet September through June. Sessions may be available 7 days a week, daytime or evening, depending on the availability of facilitators. There are often two sessions pre day during the week, and one on Sunday afternoon.
What Is the Cost?: None
Who Can Join?: Volunteers must be Century House members.
