About this organization
KERPA sends a volunteer EMS Physician, in a dedicated ground unit, directly to the scene of immediate threat to life calls in the Kootenay Region. Our response vehicle is fully equipped with advanced medications and equipment. We are capable of providing road side ultrasound, video laryngoscopy, rapid sequence intubation, surgical procedures, cardiac monitoring, and advanced cardiac arrest care. We carry cardiac monitoring capable of real time CPR feedback and carry an automated chest compression device. In addition our physician is Tactical Emergency Casualty Care trained and equipped to support the emergency services in this role.
