About this service

Senior newcomers face unique challenges when they arrive in Canada. Many do not have English language skills to learn about and engage with the community in which they now live, access services, or meet others of their age. As a result, many newcomer seniors become isolated. Central Vancouver Island Multicultural Society recognizes the barriers that newcomer seniors face and has designed programs to assist them in their settlement process and meet their needs.
