About this service
Our learners are assessed and matched with a trained volunteer tutor. These pairs meet for up to three hours each week to work on an individualized program designed around their language, math and/or computer upgrading needs. Our outreach tutors currently offer to help learners in Ladysmith and can arrange to meet learners at the public libraries in Nanaimo or at the social service agencies such as SEIA, Haven House and Vancouver Island Therapeutic Centre. LCVI tutors also assists learners at Nanaimo Correctional Centre.
