COVID19 UPDATE - Restorative Justice and Youth Mentoring staff are working from home under limited capacity, as such, they are only able to be in contact through phone and online meetings. They can still be reached on their cell phones and by email. This information can be obtained by calling 250 754 1266.
Through the lens of restorative justice, crime is believed to harm not only the victim but also the community as a whole. The Restorative Justice Program is an out of court process that focuses on why crime occurs, how it affects others, and what actions are necessary to help repair the harm done. It strives to provide supportive and safe opportunities for voluntary participation and communication between those affected (victims, offenders, and community) to achieve agreed-upon reparations.
