About this service
Island Ops provides free employment skills, work experience and training opportunities to persons who self-identify with having a permanent physical or mental disabilities on Vancouver Island, the South Gulf Island and in Powell River. We provide tuition for short-duration (up to 6 months), pre-apprentice and skills training, work experience and wage subsidies, and employment assistance services (e.g. resume/cover letter, job search workshops, one-to-one job coaching). Island Ops also offers business coaching, entrepreneurial skills training and income support to start a small business.
