About this service

Family Counselling Immigrants face many challenges when adapting to life in a new country: culture shock, language barriers, adjusting family roles, under employment, family reunification, understanding Canadian systems, health care, mixed marriages and more. You may be feeling overwhelmed by the many changes affecting your life. After the initial excitement of arrival, there is often a period of disappointment, frustration and sometimes even depression. If you or your family needs help in coping with the settlement process, we have qualified counsellors available. Dr. Martine Charles and Pauline Goh, Registered Clinical Counsellor, specialize in immigrant adaptation issues. For an appointment, please contact our Settlement Workers.
