About this service
Counselling is a form of talk therapy wherein the counsellor and client collaborate to identify goals and potential solutions to problems which cause emotional turmoil. Creating strategies to improve communication and coping skills; strengthen self-esteem; and promote behavior change and optimal mental health. Our counselling sessions happen in person, on the phone and on video calls. It starts with booking a first appointment where where our reception staff gather basic information such as address, phone number, any relevant insurance information, and types of services desired. Once the appointment is booked, the client is then asked to provide written information such as relevant medical issues, past history of mental health problems, family history, and other details that are relevant to counselling service provision.
