About this service
This program is funded by BC Housing through the Homeless Prevention Program, which operates, in many instances, as an enhancement to the existing provincially funded Homeless Outreach Program and Aboriginal Homeless Outreach Program. It is designed to break the cycle of poverty, homelessness and criminal behavior. Housing provides a fundamental element that enables people to achieve other goals including gainful employment and maintaining good health. With the support of a community that recognizes the importance of housing first, we look forward to achieving our goal of helping people reintegrate into the community and rebuild their lives.
The program assists:
- Youth (19+), including those leaving the care system
- Women experiencing violence, or are at risk of violence
- People leaving the correctional and hospital systems
- Individuals of Aboriginal descent.
