COVID19 Update: Offering supports via telephone. Our doors are closed to the public at our Wallace Street location.
St Peter's Shelter will remain open, unless things change and we asked to close our doors.
We are practicing the suggestions set forth by BC housing and the health authority that all shelter operators were provided with.
NWRS and NCAA have each served Nanaimo for over 35 years. SEIA honours this history by continuing to provide quality programs to support our most vulnerable community members. Our programs both educate the public and provide direct support to people who face multiple barriers to inclusion and equity in the Central Island Region. Our clients include youth, women and anyone identifying as female, seniors and people with disabilities. SEIA programs include outreach, crisis support, legal advocacy, resource planning, tenancy support, and inclusive customized social education and capacity building programs. All of our programs are offered free of charge.
