COVID-19 Update: The Loaves and Fishes Food Bank distribution has resumed at this location on Tuesdays 1-2pm until an undetermined time in the late Fall when it will be returning to the Brechin Church.
Nanaimo Alliance Church partners with a number of community services, including Island Crisis Care Society, Crossroads Pregnancy Centre, and Loaves and Fishes Community Food Bank. Our church members sort food monthly, and we partner with Brechin United Church weekly, providing the location for their weekly food distribution. There are many needs in Nanaimo, but we believe the best way we can support our community is by working together with those agencies that have specialized in addressing needs we as a church are unable to address on our own. Many people drop by our office asking for help. We direct them to the services we partner with, where they will find caring, generous help. We have no cash, food vouchers, or food/gas cards on our premises.
