Robson Valley McBride - Food Security

Our Food Literacy Program aims to connect communities through food security, information sharing and skills-based learning. Food literacy and security can profoundly impact the physical, mental and social well-being of communities and the residents living within them. Our goal is to assist the Robson Valley by improving food security in the following ways:

Immediate and short-term assistance, such as guidelines/tips for eating on a budget, and connecting community to local resources and programs. Financial assistance in crisis situations.

Increasing community food security through capacity, skills and engagement. Our programming will assist in developing free, low-barrier workshops, classes, and one-to-one outreach support to all residents.

Curating an ongoing committee that focuses on improving food security by identifying our strengths, gaps, and compiling resources.
