About this service
This program provides support workers that can help your son or daughter achieve behavioral, emotional and social growth at home and in the community. Support workers provide mentoring, instructional, and therapeutic support in the following areas:
- Teaching specific skills, such as money management and transit skills
- Access to and use of community facilities
- Positive behavioral strategies and support
- Career and personal planning
- Liaison with professionals and public/private education
- Social skills and peer interaction
- Transition planning
The goal of the program is to encourage independence for the child or youth, and to support the family.
Referrals for children under age 6 will be considered on a case to case basis. Referrals are made through the Ministry of Children & Family Development. Families who have alternate funding may purchase this service directly without referral.

By referral; Child between the ages 6 and 19 with a developmental disability
