About this service
The Futures for Youth R.I.T.E. Program provides flexible and holistic services to support young Canadians between the ages of 15-30 to develop the skills and gain paid work experience to successfully transition into the labour market. Individuals will be provided with a living allowance while gaining the confidence and skills necessary to find and sustain meaningful employment.
includes:
- Paid group-based workshop series for 4 to 6 weeks which includes: life & personal development skills, essential skills and employability skills training
- Weekly living allowance and transportation support paid to participants during workshop series
- Individualized employment counselling, vocational assessments, career coaching
- Paid work experience option
- Funding for occupational skills training, certifications, upgrading including supplies and books
- Job search support including funding for work gear, tools or transportation for job starts
- On-going job retention support and a completion bonus
