About this service
The LIT program is located at the Loon Lake Research and Education Centre in the heart of UBCs Malcolm Knapp Research Forest in Maple Ridge, BC. Loon Lakes peaceful setting allows participants to enjoy all that nature has to offer, including a beautiful private waterfront and forested wilderness. LITs sleep in the same dorm as all other participants. The beautiful modern dorm has rooms of various sizes that each fit a few campers and is equipped with electric lights, bunk beds, washrooms and showers. The LIT program can accommodate up to 12 participants and there is a minimum of two cabin leaders who are trained by the Camp Goodtimes staff with the group. In addition, we have trained program staff facilitating each activity and qualified medical and social-emotional support on site to ensure that all participants are comfortable and cared for.
