VTEA - Front Line Heroes Program

Valley Therapeutic has created the Front Line Heroes Program, a Recreational Therapeutic Equine Experience that aims to provide relief to front line workers from the mental stress and anxiety they experience working on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic. The goal of equine therapy is to enhance the quality of life for riders by improving their physical, mental, and emotional well-being with the help of highly trained, empathetic therapy horses. These equine assisted activities can play a significant role in alleviating stress, anxiety and depression relating to trauma. This one-hour session with one of our therapy horses and one of our Equine Facilitated Wellness facilitators will work on stress and anxiety reduction using breathing and mindfulness techniques as well as stretching exercises to release tension.
