Day, Evening, Weekend for Youth (DEWY)

DEWY is community treatment program compromising of group counselling and activities for young people struggling with the effects of substance use. Program Features: Group and individual counselling along with structured recreational activities. Continuous intake Group work and activities arranged for afternoon, evening and weekends and flexible to the needs of the youth. Alumni group for youth who have progressed through the program. Eligibility: Ages 13 to 18 (with extension of support to 24 for those engaged previously). Youth who require more support than can be provided by one or two weekly counselling sessions. Motivated to look at their substance misuse. What can you expect? DEWY runs from Tuesday to Friday primarily with some activities scheduled for certain weekends. Tuesdays and Thursdays are group counselling days. Wednesdays and Fridays are for intentional structured recreational activities. Opportunities to support youth to reflect on and make positive life changes.
