Youth and Family Support - Youth Justice Services

are generally provided on a one-to-one outreach basis in the community, with some social recreational group/event opportunities provided throughout the year. Intensive Supervision and Support Program meets weekly with youth to assist them in connecting with community supports, securing jobs, stabilization within their homes, attending school regularly and accessing social/recreational opportunities within the community. Youths personal and social skills are also developed while monitoring compliance with their court orders and conditions. Curfew Check Program facilitates weekly check ins with youth to ensure they are complying with their court-ordered curfews; any missed curfews are reported immediately to probation officers. Community Work Service Program assists youth to perform court assigned community service hours in ways that are meaningful to youth and their communities. Community Connections / Youth Justice Outreach provides a number of community programs which offers support, recreation and pro-social activities to youth in partnership with local RCMP, Youth Probation Team, and local based school programs Whytecliffe, and Vanguard Secondary School.
