About this service

Stepping Stone operates Starting Point, a store-front office that provides supports and services using a Housing First approach for adults who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Services are provided through outreach and drop-in basis at community partners. Outreach Workers support people to connect with resources to help stabilize their life situations. Preventative and support services include one-time crisis funding, financial assistance applications both provincial and federal, basic income tax filing and assistance with housing search by way of BC Housing applications and provision of weekly housing listings. There are rent supplement programs available to help people obtain and/or maintain housing. A Nurse Practitioner works with the Outreach Team at a community location one day a week to provide primary care.
