About this service

The Bridge provides counselling support for families with children under age 19. Promotes healthy children and families through the enhancement of communication, parenting education and relationship building skills.

The Bridge Family Services staff includes:

  • 3 Full-Time Counsellors
  • 2 Part-Time Counsellors
  • 1 Family Intervention Specialist

Our staff meet with participants at their request:

  • In Office
  • In Home
  • In the Community

Family Counselling is a supportive, educational and goal-oriented service.

Families gain skills and strategies to:

  • Cope with life transitions
  • Understand family dynamics
  • Anticipate and manage the stresses of daily living
  • Improve role competency
  • Improve family and social functioning which includes enhancing parenting skills

Referrals to Family Counselling must be made through:

Ministry of Children & Family Development, Child & Youth Mental Health, Kelowna Office: (778) 699-2272
